Denka D 200 is a multi-component, powdered admixture containing fruit acids and polyhydroxycarboxylic acids, developed for retarding the setting of fast-setting concretes and dry mortars. The advantage of Denka D 200 is that, compared to other retarding admixtures, the retarding effect is limited to the desired time depending on the dosage and does not significantly reduce the compressive strength of the final product.
Set retarders prevent premature hardening in calcium aluminate cement-based systems and extend the working time. They slow down the reaction between water and hydraulic binder through their effect on the surface. Depending on the added amount, they slow down the growth of the hydrates formed. After the retarding effect has ceased, the setting process starts quickly and efficiently.
Application: To ensure adequate workability in concretes and dry mortars containing calcium aluminate (CA), Denka SC-1 amorphous calcium aluminate (ACA), or calcium sulfoaluminate (CSA) cement.
Dosage: Depending on the desired workability and external temperature, up to 0.2-0.8% of the cement.
Packaging: In 10 kg bags, on 500 or 1,000 kg pallets.
